About the Lessons
Tess teaches by the Suzuki method that incorporates the following principles:
An early start (aged 3-4 is normal in most countries)
The importance of listening to music
Learning to play before learning to read
The involvement of the parent
A nurturing and positive learning environment
A high standard of teaching by trained teachers
The importance of producing a good sound in a balanced and natural way
Core repertoire, used by Suzuki students across the world
Lessons are taught at a church building in Somers, CT. There are plenty of spaces adjacent to the music room for parents to sit during lessons!
The fee is $30 per half hour; $50 for full hour
Lessons are available Monday through Friday… contact Tess about what day and time works best for you. Latecomers do not get time added to the end!
Twice/year a recital is held for students to showcase their improvement and talent.
Important: before lessons start, guardians need to sign an agreement denoting a few basic commitments.
Event Playing
Tess is available for weddings, galas, funerals, and other events…as background music or front and center!. She can play solo or bring an accompanist.
